Was wondering what bulk corn is going for? Not by the bag!

Considering having MFA deliver a load to our lease during late January and early February.
If our food plots are all gone. Give all the critters a little help...

Thanks

[rquote=1499277&tid=104610&author=Parker] I would think the price would change with the market, so daily at least?

Parker[/rquote]

A ball park or last time someone checked would be fine. I think MFA in town its on a weekly basis, now that I think about it.

I would check into some distillers grain. Tons cheaper and the same protein ration as pure shelled corn. Most has molasses mixed in and the deer love it

Corn has protien also just not as much as soybeans. If my memory is correct I think it is around 9% protein.

[rquote=1499388&tid=104610&author=Modeerhunter]Yeah, I figure about 8% on corn at best as far as protein goes, but the carbs and fat is what they need in the cold weather.[/rquote]

Ever bough it in bulk or just by the bag modeerhunter?

If ya decide to go with the DDG (Dried Distillers Grain), I go slow with it at first, as I think they recommend to go slow at first with cattle to let their guts get used to it. Probably the best route, and not neccesarilly the cheapest route, would be to go with the corn.

And yes, there is protein in corn. Usually between 7 to 9%, jus not nearly the protein content beans have.

Regular shell corn would be much nicer on the turkeys too, rather than the DDG.
