I about lost it when I saw the pics of him. Pulled the card as I left the woods that morning and when I realized that deer was there a couple of hours earlier I was really kicking myself. But then next weekend I was there again, and so was he.

I've posted pics of it before, some of you guys are probably tired of him, lol.

He’s bigger. Bowkill was in the 140’s, I’d guess this one 160+. Been duck hunting every weekend since gun season.

  9. This is the big 10 I ve been after all year. I was at work when this picture was taken. 15 yards from my stand... Still on the hunt for this one, unclear if he survived rifle season.

Didn't sit in the white house until after this pic, I guess all the "You won't see anything close out of that thing for a while" messages got in my head. I was in a ladder 50-70 yds away this morning freezing to death, when I should have been in the warmth. Never saw him again but did get a few more pics. 038.jpg

Duck hunting huh. Yea those big bucks don't taste very good, they're chewy and tough as leather nothing like a duck. I can come sit in a treestand near this buck's home while your out in a pond somewhere. I eat chewy tough old bucks and their antlers I use for stew.

Duck hunting is so fun I can't blame him! But maybe late season he should take the muzzleloader out for a crack at him

[IMG][IMG] The second pic is a buck nobody around here can figure out . Disappears early October and shows up in late January. Ugh

I hate to laugh but I had the same thing happen and same very thought. Built a shooting house like that for my girlfriend and to take the kids out to hunt in and the same afternoon after putting it up there were does all around it within 15-20 yards. Ended up shooting a 4 deer out of it and seen one of the biggest bucks I have seen hunting out of it.

Never saw this guy on the hoof but he frequented my salt lick a lot and my ladder stand is 18 yards away. Neighbor got him opening morning of rifle season that year and it was his first day in the woods that year. :( 9-19-13 #1.jpg 9-19-13 #3.jpg big buck.jpg
