went out last night for a evening bowhunt, about 430 2 does walked with in 18 yards of me and honestly i was tempted but im looking for another big boy to take to coyote hunters, anyway i let the does pass and it wasnt two minutes later i hear noise coming from the same directions the does came from and behold it was a decent six pointer and 10 yards behind him was a little 110 inch 8 pointer they walked straight to the does and started sniffing them and then the does bumped off with the bucks right on there tail, just wish one of them had some more inches of crown so i could have let the arrow fly but good to know there is still some rutting activity

three nights ago two bucks and plenty of does and no chasing. last night one buck and plenty of does and he was chasing. He cleared the food plot chasing after them. at least i was able to get out of the tower blind without spooking deer since he cleared them out for me.

Once the rut starts it never totally stops till the horns come off. It sure seems like it during the lull between the two peaks sometimes,,but if your lucky enough to be there when a doe starts smellin pretty,,you could have a real show. I saw 5 bucks chasin the same doe on december 31st one year. I loves me some late season just for that reason :banana-man-yeah:

:cheers::cheers:
