I posted trail cam picks of this buck for last couple years . Found out he was killed about a mile away during gun season . Lots of guys were after him .[IMG][IMG]

Actually met the guy who killed him for first time by coincidence. He said he doesn’t even own trail cameras . I think I’m going to get some of mine printed out for him to keep with his mount . Nice fella . He said he would call me when he gets mount back . Would love to see it up close

That's a great looking buck and a nice gesture on your part to him.

It happens. Especially when the rut kicks in and they leave their core area. Great buck

This buck was hard to figure out , he lived on or around my place every summer eating on my plots . Then he would disappear till January or early February . Then he would show up on my turnips.

Some people are good sports when the neighboring hunters kill a big buck and others act like selfish children. :D

Nice deer on our hit list our killed by the neighbors every year. All of these bucks were were killed by a neighbor within 3/4 mile of my place. Every one of these was killed by members of our deer cooperative and I couldn't be happier for all of these guys. Does it suck that I didn't kill them - you betcha? But it's much easier knowing that all these guys played a part in getting them to this size to begin with!

They don't get this size when whacked as a youngster!

The good news is that recent trail cam pics show a nice crop of up and comers for 2018 so no worries!

I would consider you lucky! I wish my neighbors were letting stuff grow. At least to legal size even. I wish I could somehow get continuous full time surveillance on them from Sept 1st until Feb 31st. ;-) They have a good sized walk in cooler that will hold about a dozen deer.
