Not sure if he makes first blood, but shot an 8 point at about 6:35. He's down gonna sit and wait for a doe. Good luck everybody!

Edit - Turns out my 8pt grew into a great 10pt! When I walked up on him he just kept getting bigger. My best buck to date and after a frustrating 3 days of archery hunting where I saw a lot of shooter buck, just could not get them in range.

    Here is the story:

I woke up around 3:45, cause I had about a 2 mile walk back to my stand. I wanted to be sure to get into the stand well before first light. I hit the woods about 4:45 and started walking. Got to the area and I COULDN'T FIND MY STAND! So I am standing there waiting for it to get light enough when I hear grunting like 15 yds away. I can her the deer moving around, but I do not think it knew what I was. I was crouching against a tree.

Well that deer moved off down the ridge. And the sky was starting to lighten and I was able to spot my stand. I snuck over and climbed up. Got my gun and pack situated and I look out in front and another buck is tearing up a tree about 45 yds away. It was still very dark and there was alot of brush. I could not see him very well. He turned and ran back down the ridge.

By now it is about 6:30 and getting light enough to see. I am freezing in the this wind so I dig out my jacket. Just after I get my jacket on another buck cruises up. This looks like a shooter so I grab my gun. He stops behind a cedar tree, but will not come out from behind it. Suddenly he turns around and starts to trot back the other way. I let out a BAAAA and he slamed on the brakes and I pulled the tigger. He ran about 50 yds and piled up!!.

I decided to wait for a doe since I was done so quickly. About 10 min later a nice 8pt pushes a family group by. I pick out the littlest one (Remember I am 2 miles back) and smoke her. So my tags are filled.

It took my Dad and I over 4 hours to get both out of the woods. I am so sore today, but it is a great sore! Pictures below:
