How long should it take start to finish, using some sort of dish agent or borax or something like that.

Dont boil it all at once, the bones get too soft!! Boil it for a bit and then clean it, let it cool off and pick at it some more. Then boil again and start over again! It will take you a day depending on how good you had it cleaned before starting. Getting all that crap outta the nasal cavity sucks it takes forever to come loose. I did add some detergent to the water while doing it.

Here's one I did back in 2006. I skinned out the head and took a powerwasher to it. I'm guessing it took around 30 minutes to get all cleaned up. The power washer works wonders on the inner stuff. Once that was done I put some borax in a big pan of water and scrubbed the scull. Then I picked up a bottle of the highest concentrated Hydrogen peroxide from a hair salon, and poured it over the skull while it was in a big pan ladeling it over it for a while. About 30 minutes later it was finished up. I'm guessing it took around 2-3 hours tops.

If you're really serious about it you can skin it, boil it, borax it over night. Then the next day boil and then scrape and use a power washer even like at a car wash or whatever then bleach or your choice.
European mounts are pretty dang cool!:)
