Had hanna barbera had the same policy there would have only been one episode.Yogi would never survive in today's world taking picinic baskets.
There's a place in Arizona, just east of Williams, off I-40, that takes in troublesome bears, it's called, oddly enough, Bearizona. They've turned it into a drive-thru zoo, basically. They take in bears from as far away as Oklahoma, even. It gets them a good deal of tourism dollars, and they have other critters, too, like wild donkeys, mountain sheep, bison, aoudad sheep, you name it, they'll take it in. The wife and I went thru there on our honeymoon, and it was pretty fun, really. The bears are separated by age, so the little ones won't get eaten by the old grumpy ones. I can't say the bears live a 'fulfilling life" but they do get to lounge around under what passes for shade trees in Arizona, and they get fed twice a day.So many experts on the facebook page and news article comments page. So many people don't understand that once a bear finds easy food around homes, it will never go back to the wild. People are saying donate it to a zoo, I find that hilarious. Yea don't kill the bear just put him in a prison where he'll eat freezer burnt meat, sleep on concrete, and die a slow horrible death doing absolutely nothing.:rofl::rofl:
