I was at Stockton Lake fishing last weekend and there were several dozen of them along with hundreds of gulls hanging around a big bend in the lake. Pretty sure they were feasting on the abundance of Shad going on in that lake right now. There were also occasional flocks of snows going by.
Also saw a few eagles, a number of osprey, some hawks , and the ever-present vultures. Saw a couple of small groups of coots, a few scattered divers (mergansers?), but not a lot of ducks yet. Heard a loon a couple of times but never spotted it. Usually see a flock or two of turkeys on the banks, but not this trip.
