I dont think thats right... this is from the MO dept of health. Im not sure how 6200 positives could be valid when the last 7 days was only 137....???So I just got some numbers from a nurse / teacher / nursing home owner.
Buchanan County (St Joseph MO and area). Roughly 7.4% of population with positive covid test, or about 6700 people.
Hospital patients 29.
Now if 6700 postives from testing....how many really have it and aren't getting sick from it or just very mild symptoms?
29 / 87364 = .00033 or .033% of population in hospital.
Next question.... are all of these from Buchanan county? or could some be from surrounding counties...lowering the percentage of population hospitalized even more?
Reason this was being discussed is that it is slowly falling and that they are hoping if it will go under 5% masks will be voluntary.
