Hate to be there when your buddies thaw out .....I would have to buy another stand. That one would go in the freezer and then on the wall.
When we removed them for the city we started out doing that then freezing. We were told just freezing them would work so switched to that. If you have freezer space it's effective. The wasps don't overwinter in those nests , so if left in the freezer for a few weeks they die.Bees are all gone from it by now. I just cut a nice one from a tree in the yard and it is going to school with the granddaughter. If you're unsure just put a clear bag around them at night with a little Raid and seal it up.
