I pick up my new Optima Elite tomorrow morning. Now I have to decide what scope I want to put on it. What do you guys recommend? I'm wanting something with a little more eye relief than a typical rifle scope. My old gun has "scoped" me a few times with the Tasco that I have on it.

I bought a regular riflescope. Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9x40. Figured if it ever came down to it I could use that scope on a regular rifle.

I'm really looking at the Leupold Ultimate Slam. It says it's got a 100gr and 150gr setting. I've always shot 100gr 777 pellets, but might try 150gr and see how it shoots. I guess now I just need to decide which color scope to get.

Last I checked, isn't it bad to use 150 grains of 777?????

If your ML is rated Magnum you can use 3-50gr pellets of 777. I don't think that you are supposed to go 150gr loose 777 though.

 Really, the Omega is the best scope I have. I have a Leupold VX-II 3x9x40 that doesn't hold a candle to the omega, eye relief, clarity, light.

I did kinda mess up. Correct, 130gr loose 777 is the max. 150gr of 777 pellets is safe.

Set your limit at 2 pellets or 110 grains loose and stop worrying about it. Mainly what you get using more than that is recoil anyway. Can't turn 'em into .270s no matter. The majority of shots will be inside 100 yards anyway.

Scope - a good cheaper scope is the Nikon ProStaff 2x7.

If you don't wanna spend an arm & a leg....

The Nikon Pro-Staff 2x7x32 makes one heck of a Muzzleloader scope.......

Got one on my Encore ML barrel.
