What is the best rain gear for the money? Looking for something light weight mostly for turkey hunting.

Used to be, Cabelas MT050 stuff was pretty good stuff. With the BPS takeover I’m not very confident anymore. If it’s Goretex, I’d be pretty sure it’d be sufficient.

I use the Koldo line from Kryptek. You can usually find good deals on Kryptek stuff if you have the patience to hunt around on the web.

I bought some Kuiu 2 seasons ago, very compact and very waterproof. remarkably easy to put on it the stand!

my old frog togs keep me dry enough, probably gotten more mileage out of them than I should have for the price. Turkey season, and a few fishing trips per year, the rest of the time they sit under the back seat of the truck for emergencies.

I would not wear my Kuiu during turkey season, frog togs work fine for turkeys.
