some world record spurs on those hens
The Bruce Jenners of hen turkeys apparently.
As long as they have finally come to grips to who they really are, it's all good.
this is a jake, those are gobblers
Double bearded Jake. A real trophy, taken run-n-gun style.:
just bc you weren't in a blind doesn't constitute run n gun:wave:
Did I say that? You are right no blind was used, just a seat and some old cheap decoy.:
sit and wait
Somtimes, when you run and gun hunt, you kill one on the first wait.
It's not like you go chasing after them, and try to shoot at them, those suckers can fly, and run faster than me too.
About what? Whether or not those are gobblers or bearded hens? You go ahead and call em bearded hens if it makes you happy, but those boys are strutting, gobbling, and doing their best to be daddies about now.
they are definitely gobblers
Yes I hear them gobbling every morning. I left Looziana for this, best decision I ever made.
You left Looziana to listen to bearded hens gobble and not kill them?:
Haha. That's pretty ironic. I left Livingston Parish to live in Missouri. Where you from in Louisiana?
Dad and I watched a hen gobbling right in front of us a few years ago. We just started at each other with a face that was as confused as she was. I'm glad we both seen it because otherwise we wouldn't have believed it.
I sent you a PM
I thought I had replied, but I just tried it again. I am sure we know some of the same folks.
