My son and I went out in the rain this morning and he killed a bearded hen with an 8 inch beard!! We didn't see any gobblers this morning, but the hen was a nice prize for him.

huntforfunnfood- I tried calling the taxidermist that was wanting a bearded hen but couldn't make contact with him. THe bird was missing quite a few feathers (not to mention very wet!) so we decided to eat her!! That was the first bird I have seen all season with a beard. I wouldn't have sot it, but for my son it was a prize.
