Can someone give me some more info on these? When to plant, cold weather hardiness, deer attraction in season, where to get them? I am thinking about planting these with a wheat/clover mix this fall and wondered if anybody had experience with this mix? Thanks in advance.

We planted some with rape and turnips last year. They were very winter hardy and we even had some carry over. They are supposed to be less vine like than iron and clay (cow) peas. The deer seemed to like them ok,,but like everything else they got little grazing pressure till very late in the winter because of the over abundance of acorns. We sowed them late enough they did'nt get much size to them, because they were in a replant after a bean plot was lost due to the drought. They should cost in the neighborhood of $30 per 50# bag.
