What kind of Artifact is this Rock? I found it in a Field the other day. Kinda lookd like something the Indian's used to start Fire's with to me... also resembles an Axe.

Nutting Stone

From what i see,and its not a real good example, ITS A NUTTING STONE ! So T-bone wins the prize. ha ha I have at least 3 of these . One is a great example, and a nutter on both sides ! Its almost square in shape and deeper impressions . Don't know why but they aren't worth very much . Still an artifact tho. Could have to do with starting fires too, but all people i've talked to, call them a nutting stone !:neuspeuter:
