Stopped by the Archery Shack (Jeff City) on the way home and shot a couple of bows that they have there. They have some good prices on their '05 models.

Does anyone have any experience with Archery Research bows? I shot an AR31 that they had set up and I was fairly impressed by how quiet it was and it hardly had any vibration to it.

Well, I was just curious to everyone else's opinion on the AR31 or any other bow that Archery Research puts out. Thanks!

One of my buds picked up an AR this past August, and used it through season this past year and loves it. He had the $ to go Mathews or Hoyt, but decided on the AR.

Go for it!

bump....

BTW...I have been shooting the same bow since I was 14 (I am now 24...doing the math....I have been shooting this bow for 10 years).

Somehow I also missed the switching to Carbon Arrows thing too! So, any info/suggestion on good Carbon arrows to shoot deer with would be helpful too!

I have a couple of friends that have shot AR's for a couple of years and they have had no problems. If it feels good to you and is a good deal, I say jump on it. As far as carbon arrows go, I think that the Gold Tip XT hunters or pros are the best arrow for the money. They are straight and have very good tolerances. Also, they have been around and will be around for a long time. Good luck and have fun!

I agree with landlover....there are alot of good arrows out there, but in my opinion, it is hard to beat the Goldtips...check out thier website, lots of good info on all thier shafts...www.goldtip.com I think...I have been shooting them since 1999...I still have some of the original dozen, black 35/55 hunter XT's that I bought back then, my daughter now shoots them. I shoot the Traditional XT's. They are well worth the money!!!
