I'll probably get run off for suggesting anything other than a RR 2stage match trigger but has anyone here tried or have any experience with ChipMcCormick trigger groups for the AR platform?

Nope, but I've used Chip's parts in 1911s with no complaints at all. His stuff is well engineered and made with quality, so I'd expect no troubles. Chip's good people!

Hey Paul, I am sending mine to this guy:

http://www.triggerwork.net/index.html

Have read MANY excellent comments about his work, he can get my factory trigger to a smooth 4lbs for $35, folks over at AR15.com, highly recommend him instead of spending big dollars on a trigger!

I eamiled with him and he said to just ship to him, and the $35 covers work and return shipping, all you have to do is install, I think he said 3lb trigger for like $15 more.
Get ahold of him, I will be sending mine off REAL soon....

U2U @ ya!

Man... I hate going to the trouble of shipping my rifle.
Let me know how it works out. I really wanted a do-it-yourself install so I am more intimately associated with my setup.

No rifle ship, just trigger parts, so yeah, you get more aquainted with your gun, you have to disassemble the trigger, then ship, then reassemble when returned...

Trigger, hammer and disconnector are all you need to ship!
Hope to send mine this week...

hey rat, how about a RRA national match.....:D

If I remember correctly aren't those Chip McCormick really really pricey? I cold be wrong. The timney drop ins are supposed to be nice.

I do have a RRA NM on my 204 AR and I have a RRA NM lower parts kits that is waiting for me to buy a Noveske lower so I can change out the Stag lower that is on my Noveske infidel upper. That way everything will match on that gun (all Noveske) and I'll have the completed Stag lower with standard LPK laying around just waiting for another complete upper....... Sweet, sounds like a new gun.

I'm thinking different caliber for this one... 6.8?

They have them up at my gun shop in Wash, MO. They are high tech looking units but dang.... Then again RRA NM is near the same price....

Yea.. what I saw they were both abouut the same price which is why I asked why have one over the other?

I know RRA seems to be the gold standard but I like to be diffferent. :D

I think the 6.8 is dead, it just doesn't know it, yet. Look at something interesting, like 6/.223, easy to load, data is available, bullets less costly, cases are .223s. Seriously.....

Take a .223 case, neck it up to 6mm, and have a 6x45mm, it's a pretty standard wildcat, but if you choose the twist right, you can shoot 90 grain bullets well enough. Anything heavier, and you really need more capacity to get decent speeds out of the bullet.

Just a thought, anyway, I like to help other people spend their money:D
The 6.8 just never got off the ground like they had hoped. I don't think Remington tried too hard, after all, it wasn't invented in their shops.

90 grain bullet at .223 velocities (or close to anyway) Sounds neat...
