Anyone heard this rumor?

I am in KC and was visiting a customer who also is a bow hunter and he asked if I had heard about someone shooting a big buck at the Busch Wildlife managed hunt Tuesday sometime?

He said evidently the guy arrowed the buck, had a good blood trail for a while and then lost it. He was on a hunting website last night asking if anyone had a blood trailing dog.

Just wondering if anyone had any more information than what I had heard?

What fence? most places around it there is really no fence, maybe tall thick hedges but no fences. Only solid fence(chain link) is the one along fourty and they can jump it

there are holes in that fence. when I drew a tag there a few years ago, one of the park guys said just set up next to one of those holes in the fence. I didn't

Tame? sure you can drive by them but unless you are on the high school track team or runnnig your rabbit dogs, if you look at them they are gone...

it is a little over 6,000 acres and the honeysuckle has taken over most all of the wooded areas. 6,000 acres is kind of like a Texas food plot,

I'm hunting out there this week, over 1,000 acres of corn(Henry's food plot :wave1:) still standing and lots of big fields with 3-5 foot weeds and grass in them. Had numerous does/fawns and a few small bucks with in range but the last few days have not seen any of size. Last night I watched 12 does/fawns come out of one of those large grass fields heading to the corn.

Yesterday I saw a grp of guys (6 vehicles) in one of the prime areas, they mayhave been looking for the deer in question

I live right by the place but have never hunted it. Does MDC get involved when they have to start tracking? If they just go stumbling through like baffoons who knows how many hunts they'd mess up. It would be aggravating I'd think. Just curious

Not that I know of, really I have no idea. I might ask a park guy tomorrow. They use to make you check in your deer, but they do not do that anymore.

I hunted at a 2 day ML hunt one time, small area and 4 guys were stomping all over looking for a gut shot deer, literally screwing up everyone else in the general area for the day, maybe the hunt. It was so bad I didn't go back the next day, just went up to the farm.

Hunted there a bunch over the years. Nothing tame about those deer. Most of the boundary is old unkept barbed wire except for the two noted areas.

Up until I got my own place I was always very excited to get drawn out there to hunt.

Not a chainlink fence perimeter other than along highway 40
What is funny, I was/am watching the news and they showed a rental truck that was stolen Tuesday and they just caught the 2 people. I saw that same vehicle with those 2 people in it out at Busch Tuesday evening. They were at the bathroom by Lake 21 when I came around the corner. I thought it odd that a u-haul rental truck was out there, besides the 2 people that were getting in it. I always think I might run across a body out there.

Angie Houseman was found out there by a hunter.

There are a couple signs out there regarding her.

Probably to far for the North County gangs to drive that far
