Of course. There was a large aerated tank just outside of the picture being used to hold the fish after weigh in. After the weigh in concluded, the fish were put back in the Meramec River. The only exception would be if one is brought in dead and we'll find somebody who wants to it to eat so it's not going to waste. Of all the fish that were weighed in, I don't recall seeing any floaters this year. Everybody I know who fishes this tournament has a good livewell system for keeping fish alive. The two fish on the right had been in my livewell since before 7am that morning and this picture was taken around 4pm. They looked as healthy then as when they were first caught.
