I want to hunt MTL for rabbits thinking bout going next week. Good luck on the birds hope you get into a few.

No there are no coveys left in Missouri, you'll have to go to Iowa. :)

Just kidding. You just have to get your dog go out and see if you can find them. Obviously the places that are the hardest to get to are the most likely to have birds. The CA's closest to the bigger cities get hit the hardest. I've found most bird hunters to be pretty helpful and friendly folks but they're not going to tell you where their covey's are.

the wildlife areas managed for quail have birds but the cover and food is everywhere so it makes it hard to locate them. the people that do the best have several dogs that can cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. one dog and a couple of hunters makes for pretty tough hunting.
