I am not wet but am out.

I got in the condo blind just before the rain started.

I'm watching 2 plots . I saw 2 long beards with a hen in one yesterday afternoon when the first rain was starting. I saw 4 longbeards and never did spot any hens in the next field west of me just after i saw these 2.

I'm hoping the non gobbling turds come to the open with this weather and like my Dave Smith's.

I got up at 4 am, looked at the radar and went back to bed. Heading into work soon but may get out after the rain passes.

A break in the rain. Have had a hen come beat the heck out of a hen decoy while another hen and 2 Jake's watched. That was worth getting up to watch.

Plan worked. Rain stopped. I called on the boat paddle every 20 minutes.

3 long beards came into the west end of the field. One popped into strut. They came 300 yards across the field and I shot the first one that stepped aside while one of the others was flogging my Jake.

Fun morning. Five gobblers seen and a tag filled.

On a side note. Not a single gobble out of any of these birds.

I'll make it out a couple more times depending on the weather and finding someone to take with since I'm tagged out. I'll be back out in KS soon.
I'm heading to Kansas and nebraska a week from next Saturday. Have a new farm in ks I'm looking forward to trying out.

Setting on the porch having a cup of coffee after cleaning and bagging the bird. A gobbler lit up a few hundred yards from the crap shack and has gobbled 5 or 6 times in a couple minutes.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow. :(

Finally got one working with me but I cannot get closer than 75 yards. And I can’t move, long old straight logging road. And he just strutted back and forth gobbling. He wants my hen to come to him. I will sit here and see if I can pull him in I guess.
