We took advantage of the phenomenal weather today and knocked out construction of two of our three river blinds for the 2019-2020 season!

Blinds are built, boat hides erected, creature comforts installed and ready for brushing.

Now - if the damn river will just leave them alone until the season starts! :banghead:

Two down - one to go!

We were lucky and ours survived with minimal repairs needed. Of course it’s not near the main channel either. Hope the river behaves this year for everyone.

Unfortunately we weren't so lucky - have to start from scratch on all three - but hey - at least they're not full of flood mud! :D

How's your blinds going to do with the latest round of flooding? We just brushed ours Sunday. Looks like we will end up with a foot of water in it. Eerily similar to last year at this time except it was a few feet higher than the current prediction.

Same here - about a foot if current forecast holds.

We were up there last Sunday and at that time the expected crest would have been today with around an inch of water inside the blinds. Got up Monday and looked at the Corp site and our inch had been adjusted to a foot overnight with a new crest on 10/10.

As long as no more changes we should be fine other than shoveling mud out of the bottom of the blind.
