After the brassicas, wheat, oats, and clover were eaten down this winter...they turned to the old bales I set out to use as part of a blind

I have never had deer eat that much hay. I have bales in a lot with timber on 2 sides. The closest I ever seen was in the 2007 ice storm. Your deer must be Hungry.

Not really but we had a helluva lot of ice and snow for prolonged periods which impacted access to other food stuffs. Hinge cutting sprouts show good utilization the past few months.
