You using armor piercing bullets?
Nope. Just 20 gauge turkey loads about four inches away. Red dot said I was clear, barrell said I wasnt. Really glad it blew though instead of back at me.You using armor piercing bullets?
I bet that was one heck of a loud surprise.Nope. Just 20 gauge turkey loads about four inches away. Red dot said I was clear, barrell said I wasnt. Really glad it blew though instead of back at me.
At 4 inches, it pretty much was a slug.Looks like a slug hole
Didnt even notice it till the dead Turkey flew off...I bet that was one heck of a loud surprise.
I have done that twice on dead tree branches since going to a red dot. Once in Nebraska and once on a rio in Kansas with Rat hunting with me. We doubled , but I had to second shot mine out of the air.Nope. Just 20 gauge turkey loads about four inches away. Red dot said I was clear, barrell said I wasnt. I cant decide whether or not I want to go back to the bead. I do know of at least two birds that the scope cost me, but what I dont know is how many I would have missed over the years if I didnt have it.I have done that twice on dead tree branches since going to a red dot. Always something ain't it?:rofl::rofl:
You and those dayum turk gods.
it is essentially a rifle, not actually a rifleAlways something ain't it?
I didnt even tell about my crossbow mishap on a decent buck when I had a douphous moment at the last second on a 20 yard broadside chip shot and decided for some unknown reason to rest the crossbow like a rifle against the tree. Not only did I miss, the limb slapping the side of the tree blew the crossbow back on me and nearly flipped me outta the tree. Lol
I'm not sure who has the best hunts... you or @archer66?Always something ain't it?

I won't go back. Those contorted (he came in behind you) shots can be pulled off better with a red dot when you can't quite look straight down the barrel.I cant decide whether or not I want to go back to the bead. Use a crossgun they said. Just like a rifle they said!Always something ain't it?
