Please take a moment and send a prayer for the family this soldier left behind. Dan was one of my best friends son-in law. He served in Iraq for 2 years, and was injured in the line of duty. He made a full recovery physically, but could never fully recover mentally. He took his own life 2 weeks ago. He leaves behind a wife and young child.

Here he is in happier times on a fishin' trip we took.

everyone focuses on the physical side...the mental side can be as much, or more, troubling, for sure.

prayers from our house for your friend, as well as ALL our heroes protecting our freedoms

    A Soldier's Prayer

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Sad stuff for sure. Seen this happening way too much recently. Thoughts are with the family.
