This is the first year I have seen this one....can someone identify this plant for me?
Shortgrass is better than me but looks like rattlesnake master. Supposed to be there if so
Paul still remembers some Missouri plants (good job Paul). It is rattlesnake master (a native prairie plant).
Outback had it right. Its rattlesnake master. I really like them as they are different from everything else. It will have white flower heads this summer, well it should. Looks like it might have been in the mix that came with your native grass that is in the background? Did you plant any wildflowers? or is this coming back from remnant seed left over in the soil?
Not sure if it was listed in his mix or what area of the farm it came off. He has a few different seeding areas. Quite possible it was mixed but unknowingly.
I'll take that gold star
