    WI SCENARIO ONLY!!!!!

    Picture this, your an FTO and here comes your new recruit! You are 5'10", 200lb with duty gear. Your in pursuit, attempt PIT maneuver, you get in an accident, your vehicle is on fire, your knocked out, your vehicle is rolled over, what does your recruit do? Oh, your recruit is fresh out of academy, man/woman, 5', 105lb with duty gear! Oh, doors do not open....

    HUH??From the pics it looks like they are standing next to each other,car is upright,no sign of fire or even smoke..whats the point/question?

    He runs to the car with a center punch, and a belt cutter blows the side window out of the car cut my belt loose, gets a nearby car drives over to the rollover using to square knots secures both ends of the removed seat belt to the door and the other car backs up pulls the door open and gets my fat but out.....

    Went back and re-read the OP...missed it..size matters...what is the physical requirements to enter acadamy?Do they accept 5' 90# recruits?

    There is SUPPOSED to be STANDARDS, but you gotta have that diversity, RIGHT?

    How about the man/woman, 5"10", 280lbs, NOT muscle, that can not get over the wall, or meet the aerobic standards?

    Just curious about scenarios that have been coming up in my feeble little brain....

    Currently in the state of Missouri there is no physical requirements to be a police officer in the state of Missouri

    A lot of department have their own requirements

    Physical Agility Assessment
    All police applicants are required to take a
    physical agility assessment examination.
    The recommended entrance performance
    standards are listed below. The results of
    the physical agility assessment will be
    forwarded to the applicant's sponsoring
    agency. Recruits are required to pass the
    physical agility examination at mid-term
    and at graduation as a condition of
    attendance and graduation. Contact the
    Basic Training Supervisor for questions at
    (314) 889-8600 or email by clicking here.
    The physical fitness assessment exam is
    conducted at the St. Louis County and
    Municipal Police Academy, 1266 Sutter
    Ave., Wellston, Missouri. (More Info)
    Applicants should wear appropriate attire
    for participation in physical activities, i.e.
    gym shorts, T-shirt, running shoes and
    gym socks.
    Recommended Entry Level Physical
    Agility Standards
    Run 1.5 Miles: Must run 29 laps on an
    indoor track within the maximum time
    allowed
    Sit-ups: Must be completed within one
    minute - proper form
    Push-ups: Must be completed within
    one minute - proper form

    Someone, anyone, tell me a city, province, county, state, or federal law enforcement department that has " NO " physical test/requirement of " ANY KIND " !?
