George was a Muslim?
You do know that Muslim is a religion .......Not what country you are from
Still an admirable accomplishment for a 94 year old. The political dumbassery shouldn't have entered the picture.

Several years back I was asked by an eighty something year old man if I would go call him a turkey. He had tried for several years but had never harvested a spring gobbler. So I told him sure, we'd go get him a turkey. So we went out and got set up on a turkey that was responding very well to the call. Try as I might, I could not convey to him how ready he needed to be. At this stage in his life his eyesight was not very good, and when the tom showed up at 15 yards right in front of us he could not spot him until the turkey started to spook. He ripped off a couple shots at that point but missed. At this point he immediately started apologizing for blowing it and totally expected me to be upset with him. I've never understood why someone thinks you should be mad because a turkey got away. I told him it was no big deal, we'd just go call in another one. And we did and he got his first spring gobbler of which he was thrilled. But that's not where the story ends. Later he fell and broke his hip. People were saying that elderly people don't recover from broken hips. But he pushed himself and got back on his feet. And the following year, despite heart problems, skin cancer, a broken hip, and numerous eye surgeries, we went out and he bagged another gobbler! I have a great deal of respect for elderly people like him or Jimmy Carter who keep living life, when it would be real easy to just stay home.

Henry that could be you.........next year, cept for the whole presidential thing, but you got BINGO :clap::moon:
One of my favorite books is one that President Carter wrote in 1988 called "An Outdoor Journal" where he chronicles his various outdoor adventures including a story where he calls in his first turkey to kill. He wanted to turkey hunt but didn't feel right about having someone else doing the calling so he learned how to do it himself. That story really struck a chord with me for some reason.

Jimmy was going after his second bird ,but broke his hip https://fox2now.com/2019/05/13/form...fZB22Nlal4frYCHnV-4ytvy2NwH93p8OMr-KfBnc79o3M

Former President Jimmy Carter fell and broke his hip while he was leaving to go turkey hunting Monday morning, according to a statement tweeted by the Carter Center. The 94-year-old is now "recovering comfortably" from hip surgery in Americus, Georgia-and his primary worry is whether he'll be able to hunt more turkeys. "President Carter's main concern is that turkey season ends next week, and he has not reached his limit," the statement said. "He hopes the state of Georgia will allow him to rollover the unused limit to next year."
