I took my 2 year old son to the farm to feed the cows. Then we went to look for deer. My 2 year old spotted a doe. Then he said, look dad, there is another one, and another one, and another one. We drove a little further and then he spotted the fifth doe standing in the middle of the field. He again said, there is a doe. We sat and watched this doe for about 10 minutes until it ran away. He asked why we didn't shoot it. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't deer season yet. He understands the difference between a buck and a doe, but doesn't quite grasp the concept of deer season. We also saw about 20 turkeys on this same trip. He pointed these out. I believe that he will be a future hunter.
