So anyway, I went to the 3D shoot yesterday and realized just what I have been missing in this art of archery. Although I pretty much screwed the pooch in my abilities I feel I learned a whole lot. I learned that if you do not lose any arrows, do not break any arrows, then you pretty much come out ahead. Pipe, Rat, CenterPunch, Venatic, thank you for your patience and instructional help. I will do better next time. Oh, Pipe, I will get to your yard and rake up those leaves much better senor!

I was glad to see all of you again. I think CP and I met before, but neither one of us can remember where. I was glad to hold up everyone else's scores.

In case anyone cares to know, this may have been the last 3D shoot at Busch Wildlife by St. Louis Bowhunters. The area manager is wanting to double the price per hour they are charging them, plus include the setup and take down time in the hours. Used to be only the shoot itself. They are also wanting them to not sell any consessions. Nor can they not use ATVs to setup and take down the targets.

In a sense, it sounds like they don't want them out there anymore. However, history shows that St. Louis Bowhunters has been out there for years dating back quite a ways from what I've heard from some of the members that have been with the club for some time.

St. Louis Bowhunters has started a petition and I'm sure that it's available at their club location at 301 Tecumseh St., St. Charles, Mo 63301.

We shall see what happens.

Oh.. someone got injured..
CP generously pulled our arrows and ended up pulling pipes arrow
and gouged his leg.. badly.
Pipe was most excited that one of his arrows finally drew blood!

BTW.. this was on the LAST target of the day!!
cp is on the right... much of the blood was remediated at this point.

finally,
here is a pic of the most prepared person at the range..
Nicholas told us that he had his backpack water dealy and
a first aid kit.
Rat was a bit surprised that we would need a first aid kit.. after all, its a harmless walk in the woods.
Kudos to Nicholas.. we ended up needing it.

Did the same thing to my leg Saturday at a shoot. Didn't bleed that bad, though!
