Anyone have issues using the above ammo. Purchased a few boxes and the first shot down range hit the target at 100yard but peppered the target like a shotgun shell would...had several other rounds not even hit target or dirt possibly disintegrating mid air have no idea..also had a several shots that would hit dead center then off about 9 inches left then 12 inches low a lot of inconsistencies...we checked the scope and it's tight and is brand new so not sure if it was bad box of shells or what..any suggestions???

About 2 years ago I got 2 box’s of the rem core lokt 30-06 and had like 5 shells out of a box that where duds or Miss fires , so I switched back to Winchester’s and haven’t had a issue since. Don’t know if it was a bad lot or what
I’ve used them without issues. Is your gun sighted in and accurate with other ammo?
I’ve shot core lokt ammo in several rifles without the issues you’re describing.

You have an issue with the rifle most likely. Something is loose or such.

Yea rifle was sighted in with these exact rounds and never have had issue before like this...I wonder if it’s just a bad lot I’ll try another lot and see what results I get before messing with the gun/scope...just was curious if anyone had these issue and they might have a recall on a particular lot
I think you need to quit hot doggin it. :D

What brand of scope is it, maybe be a bad scope.
Not a Core-Lokt fan at all.Sure they kill deer but there is far more accurate choices out there.Try a different brand if they shoot fine then you know you got a batch some factory worker decided to troll somebody with.
It is not unheard of to get a bad scope straight out of the box, even the fancy high-dollar scopes, but I'm more likely to blame the ammo. Do you have the means to measure the diameter of the bullets? If they are undersized, they'll never shoot very well, and I have bought some Remington bulk components that were "less than optimum" on enough occasions that I won't ever buy them again. I have also seen wrong ammo in Remington boxes, like .270s in a .30/06 box.
A buddy of mine bought a new Marlin .30/30, and a couple boxes of Remington ammo, and had 30% failure rate with that ammo. My bet is that the ammo ain't no good.
Had the same problem with that ammo in a Rem 742 about 40 years ago. Switched to hand loaded Sierra 165',s and never looked back.

Thinkin’ a bad scope, bad sight job or whatever else has been mentioned ain’t gonna make the bullet fragment mid flight. Just sayin’.
shot thousands of em with no issues.. great shell in my 3030 too
Who'd a thunk it that the quality of a Remington product was not up to snuff......

Big Green has gone downhill in many areas, Corelokt's had always been a bread & Butter deer killing round. Hate to hear they are not reliable, but then again it does not surprise me.

Better options out there these days, I'd just turn my back on the Remmy's and not look back..... :wave1:

Beat me to it.

Given how he said bullets were hitting all over the place, was the fragments from a severely bad shot, that hit ground in front of target first, then pieces of rock/bullet hit the paper? I've seen that before....

I guess the big question is, does the rifle shoot good groups with other ammo, and then not with the Core lokts..... I've never had an issue with Core Lokts, I occasionally shoot them from my 30/30......
Just go ahead and hunt with them, I'm sure it will be fine....

Seriously, I would contact Remington and see what they say, You might have missed a recall or something. Pics of the splattered target would probably help your case.
anybody that has junk core lokt ammo, I will help you get rid of it immediately!!!!!!! pm me for details
