What can I expect. I shoot a mosberg 835. what kind of distance and pattern do you think I will have. I know I need to shoot it but you guys tend to be spot on when I ask these questions.

and also what are some tips on knowing a goose or duck is in range. Longbow already told me the "if you can see their eyes then they are in range" thing but are there other clues I should be able to notice.

thanks guys.

longbow says lots of things that i wouldnt listen too

jus sayin

i jus pick out a spot thats 30 yards give or take and dont shoot nothin past it.

choke wise, it all depends on the gun, some want it tight ie mod which with steel and big pellets is closer to full.. gotta be careful not to contrict steel, and especially the bigger shot as it will implode the pattern

best to shoot a couple on paper and see, itll eat em or spit em out one of the two

What ever you do don't push BB's thru a full choke ext choke. I have a extra full patern master on my 835 and the shoot implodes bad. Now on thw other hand #2or#3 kills them dead out of that choke.
