I can muddle through a heavy tsi where there are limited quality trees to save. I'm anxious to follow details of one that requires a little more finesse.

I used Tordon and straight 2-4-d mixed in a squirter bottle for saw girdling. It seems to of done the job.

Grape vines suppress tree growth.

Besides. If you cut them and don't treat them they leaf out at ground level and make deer candy.

I split some of that honey locust last year. Had thorns on the inside. Nasty stuff.

It does make some good firewood. Has a funky smell though, at least that one did.

Thorns are why I just girdle them and let them die and fall down around themselves.

If soft maple is bringing $1.99 , Hackberry might be too. :thinking:
