I have stomped a fair amount and have found 6 that I missed last year! The 1st fresh one is proving difficult to find, better odds of being hit by a flying carp!!!

One thing is for sure, they can and do drop them anywhere, I didn't loop up very far in the one patch last Spring and low and behold there is a big 5pt side destroyed by the varmints!

I looked for a couple hours at the IL farm this weekend, found ZERO!! camera are showing a bunch still packing and the kids saw a whopper Saturday evening still packing. One of the neighbor kids found 5 fresh ones a couple miles away from the area I walked.

I’ve got trail cam pics of bachelor groups all still holding racks. Some are really nice ones that I never even seen before until this last couple weeks. One has a drop time and a small second beam on his right side. Hope I can make them hang around through early bow season coming up.

Start stomping around the woods early march, enough time spent, you will find one!
I’ve made the effort over the years, but I hunt big woods and/or public land a lot of the time. Sometimes hard to pinpoint food sources in big woods this time of year, and others probably beat me to some antlers on public. Hope I can go up to my cousin’s farm in a few weeks and maybe find a couple there.
