The auction is for TEN chestnut trees for bid as one group. These are all 24-30" tall.
These Chestnut trees are one year old, and grown entirely in root pruning pots to prevent girdling roots and promote fibrous root growth. Nuts were collected from Dunstan chestnut trees, and should be completely blight resistant.
They were finished in 1 gal rootmaker pots, so should be ready to take off once planted. They will be transferred to standard nursery pots for transportation prior to pickup so the rootmakers can be re-used. I'd expect these trees to have their first burs within 4-6 years, depending on growing conditions.
Trees are located in Platte City MO (KC, Northwest side) and can be picked up there. I can meet locally or we can try to arrange a pony to the pheasant hunt or anywhere else a truck may be going.

This online auction will end at 5pm on Friday, 2/17. Final bidding will take place Saturday 2/18 after the Pheasant hunt fundraiser event, where proxy bidding is welcome.

In order to clear up any confusion.....
This online auction will close at 1:00PM on 2/18/2023. The winning online bid at that time will be the winner. There will be NO offline bidding taking place outside of the auction website at the fundraising event on 2/18.
It's the only way to keep the auction transparent and allow folks a fair chance to bid on items against everyone. We will be promoting the auction to all the participants of Saturday's event as well as the 1:00PM closing time.
