I PIT OUT 2 APEX LAST WEEK AND PULLED THE FIRST CARDS .oN ONE I HAD THE CAM SET ON POWER SAVE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE 75 PERCENT FLASH. The other cam was programed for fast motion flash.
It will take a while to figure this stuff out but one of the ELITE FEATURES FROM THE 2016 BTC 5 HD E WAS THE ABILITY OF THE CAM TO CHOSE THE PROPER STARTING FLASH ADJUSTMENT MONKEYS AS CONDITIONS CHANGED.
WHAT IS A FLASH ADJUSTMENT MONKEY?

CHECKING UNDER PROPERTIES THIS PICTURE IS SHOWING A TRIGGER DURATION OF 1/20 SEC. ISO SPEED 200. good picture but can show a little of the evil mr. motion blur.
Deer Natural landscape Grass Fawn Terrestrial animal
td 1/20 sec. iso speed 100.
Flash photography Black-and-white Fawn Terrestrial plant Terrestrial animal

Plant Branch Black-and-white Grass Style

the above 2 pictures were td 1/23 sec iso 100 followed bt t.d. 1/20 sec. iso speed 12800.
As you can see we have a problem on the second picture broght on by the high iso speed. MR ir burn.
ON THE OTHER CAM I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS BUT THE BURNS CAME IN MULTIPLE TRIGGERS . A LITTLE DIFFERENT STARTING MONKEY BUT MORE INTENSE BURNS.
Flash photography Jaw Ear Fawn Terrestrial animal

Plant Window Branch Snow Black-and-white

THE PROPERTIES SHOW A EXPOSURE INDEX 0F 1/40 SEC. AND ISO SPEED 100 BECOMING ISO 12800. there does not appear to be a proper boss ape controlling those monkeys.
ON both cams transition pictures were really good. THE 2016 ELITE MADE GOOD USE OF A THING CALLED EXPOSURE INDEX IN PROPERTIES THIS CAM IS NOT USING THAT ELITE FEATURE.
i WILL CRRY ON AND TRY TO FIGURE THE CAM OUT , THERE WERE NO FALSE TRIGGERS AND LOTS OF PICTURES THE BATTERY LIFE IS SUPPOSED TO BE UNBELIEVABLE BUT THE CAM WILL NEED A FIRMWARE UP DATE TO CONTROL THE WHAT THE HEY WHITE BURNOUTS FROM ISO SPEEDS THRU THE ROOF.

Where are you getting the ISO speeds and rates from? I haven't had a chance to open mine up yet. Is the info in the instructions ?
When viewing a downloaded picture on your computer right click and you get a list of options click on properties and you receive the information there. i stated earlier that there is a thing in there called exposure bias , the 2016 elite is the only cam that i have seen that uses it.The gitch with the iso speed causing mr. ir burn to appear should be correctable and Browning has a good record of fixing problems.

FOR THE RECORD I SET THE CAM S I AM USING FOR 8 M.P. PICTURES . The cam still uses A 2 M.P processor so i would think that even disbelievers can see that it would take a Great APE TO INCREASE THOSE PICTURES TO 12 MEGA PIXEL OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CLAIMING.
