Ready to kick this managed hunt off. Forest-44 ML hunt STL County. I'm hot from walking in so I suspect to be cold here in a little while. Hopefully I'll be hitting something before too long so that should warm me back up.

How many hunters in that managed hunt? Buddy drew it last year & ate tag soup. Hope you have better luck.

Already had 4 come through. Was 2 dark to shoot. But I could see brown and white masses making their way by.

Squirrels here are ridiculous. They need to open this place up for a managed squirrel hunt.

    flatlander_ Really? Show me. .

What are you allowed, one deer of either sex? One buck, one doe?

If all the hunters are there they should be getting antsy and starting to walk around. Should be good all day in there.

never pass on the first day what you would be happy with on the last day. I don't understand passing deer on a managed hunt, im sure there would be plenty of hunter happy too have had your spot.

I do. You are willing to spend more time hunting in effort to kill a better deer.

I'm not complaining. I made choice to pass on him knowing the last yim I was drawn I shot a buck with 5 in bases in this same spot.

Shoot what your comfortable with. Your decisions to pass or shoot are your own, you gotta live with it. I've passed several deer I wish I would have shot later in a season. No sense in crying over spilled milk either.
