Figure this is a good start to the KS hunting. No clue what to expect here and have a good public spot to fall back on anyways.

Drove around the park yesterday evening. Nice looking area and the timber is definitely a park like setting. Could see 80+ yards through the timber now so it will be REALLY open come fall. Found some better locations with way more cover next to the oak timbers with hedge, cedar, persimmons and shrubs...looks like the place to focus my attention instead of in the pretty park timber.

Could definitely be an issue. Talked to the marina and they said on average there are 5 cars parked for hunting usually at any one time out of the 30 tags they issued. On top of that, the huntable area are in two different sections, the north end and south end of the Park on the west side of the lake which will make that 850 acres hunt even bigger.

I believe your over thinking it.

The reason you display the permit on you truck is so the booner knows which vehicle to jump in .:D

Is this that park where the deer walk up to people to eat out of their hands? :stirpot::scared::D
