I guess I really cannot complain too bad, took this Tom last weekend. He gobbled once on the roost. I had to wait him out. About 8:00am I thought I heard him gobble again so I did a blind yelp and he nailed it. From that point on the hunt was on, had to cross a big Ozarks valley and up a steep hill. Got up to the top, caught my breath, yelped one time and he came right in. Biggest bird I have ever gotten. 24 Pounds, Double Beard (10.75" and 4.5") 1" spurs.

Since then, I cannot seem to get the Toms to come off the roost. Just last week, we pushed two still up in the trees well past 8:00 am. Thats is very hard to deal with. Heading out later this week, but I am not going until after 10am. Seems like the best time to go this time of year.

Good Luck to all!
