I dug up the photo of my first Biggen- A bruiser from 2005 in St.Charles County- I shot him on the first day of the season- Tracked blood trail, couldnt find him- didnt sleep much for the next two nights until he walked past me again- This time i put one in his heart- Hunting is great, never know when your going to get a second chance!

Not sure about the base but he was 21 Inch's wide from beam to beam- He only scored a 119 as his tines were not very tall- but I'll take him!

Yeah, as it turns out- that first shot (as best i could figure) glaced off a tree and ripped his hide open, starting just below his spine then traveled down his ribcage- 2 days later he was already starting to heal over- when i gutted him, found that , that bullet never broke though his ribcage- when i shot him tht first day, he went down and didnt move for 10 mins- best i can figure i knocked the wind out of him, then once he came too, he was off to the races- I just cant figure why he came back to the same spot- i guess the rutt will do that to them
