I need a flap type leather holster for my 1911 Kimber. Ordered one from Cabellas that is supposed to fit but the pistol won't go in far enough. Currently it is soaked with alcohol with an "enlarging tool"pushed down in it. Don't think it will stretch enough for the full size pistol. It may be ok for the Officers model.

Anybody know how to stretch a holster or better yet where to get one that fits? Are the old military ones any good?

The beavertail grip safety usually messes up the fit in an old leather GI holster, but not always. I don't have one handy right now to check, but maybe one of the other guys do. I suspect the nylon Bianchi GI holster is large enough to take a Kimber, but I'm not sure about them, either.
