Bigger is always better, boats shrink when you put them in water. :wave1:

Either one will be a pucker factor on Wappapello
That's what I was thinking...... I guess, there are a few 14' boats out there that wouldn't be too bad as long as wind is not up, and lake is not busy.....

I guess one question is, do you plan to trailer it, or throw it in the back of a truck?

Probably prefer to trailer it.
If you are gonna trailer it, i'd prob go with a 16' boat then, or even bigger.

I went through this whole thought process about 1.5 years ago. At first, thought about a 12' or 14' boat, then the more I thought about it, the more I thought that if I ever wanted to be on any bigger water, that wasn't going to cut it. Finally decided on a WarEagle 648 ldv, and am very happy with it. It fits in my garage, but is big enough that I can run it on Long Branch, and Thomas Hill Lakes with no issues.

I would have liked to go even bigger, but I really wanted it to fit in my garage.....

If all you were gonna do is run on small rivers and ponds... The smaller boat would be fine. Just not sure you won't wish you had something a tad bigger when you are Wappapello.

If you are gonna go 14', get a 14/48..... There is a huge difference between a 14/48 and a 12/36 size boat. Best of luck!
