So with it being turkey season, I’m seeing all sorta stuff about how great your turkey camo is. Bottomland this, bottomland that....i’m a real turkey hunter. See me now!
Since when do you need anything special at all from any dang ol camo to hunt thunder chickens in Missoura anyway? Surely you’ve all been squirrel huntn, you got anything special for them rats? What about crow huntn, got anything special for dem birds? And all them Ninjas, any special camo for them crazy suckers!? Naw didn’t think so...So why special camo to kill turkeys in the midwest?

My camo doesn't match..... It's only new because I outgrew it. The replacement stuff outgrew me.

I hear you can never outgrow that Nomad Camo, pretty amazing stuff
Have you guys seen the commercials for that hecs camo or whatever it’s called where the guy is supposedly waving his hand right in front of a turkey that just can’t see him cuz he’s so invisible. That’s the camo a guy truly needs. Makes turks flat blind
I wear KUIU and First Lite in the mornings and Sitka Stratus or Pnuma in the evenings, face paint by Mabelline and I also use scent-a-way so they do not smell me :wave1:

Tuesday I wish I had on a pair of shorts and a tank top, 82 degrees with no wind..

You can't wear Saturday camo on Thursday. The birds pick right up on it.
Older cousin would buy new pair of Levis and had old green fatigue shirt. He did not believe in calls either.
he always killed his birds.

Ike Ashby (Ashby Turkey calls - no longer around) wore levis and a long sleeve olive drab army shirt.

Movement is what gets ya.

many times while deer hunting covered in blaze orange i have watched turkey parade past. ya just can't move.

they are both "birds" silly
Turkeys were darn near wiped out in the state by men wearing denim jeans or bib overalls and packing single shot or maybe double barrel shotguns. Those old paper shotshells weren't hi tech heat seekers either. A simple box call or slate might get used. It ain't rocket science.
Preach it Harv.
One must wear Sitka ... to then sit in a blind

Best camo available, unfortunately it's a camo that no amount of money can buy. You've either got it or ya don't.
I agree ...movement is the trigger however I dearly love my gillie suit and the results are a hoot .. on my 240AC there isn't a cedar tree, brush pile or thicket I don't have "notched" for me to ease into for north, south or west winds ..You would not believe how close I've had wildlife ..close and personal.
