Anybody recommend a place to go for a good hunt , guided or unguided. Just looking to explore outside of Missouri an eventually get the grand slam off the bucket list.
The Ponderosa wildlife area in North West Nebraska, has a good population of Merriams
and alot of country to hunt them. I have killed three gobblers up there, three years ago.
Agreed. Just got back from there. Our group of 5 killed 9 birds in 4 days. PM me if you want maps. There were tons of Jakes, so if they have good survival rates, should still be tons of gobblers next year
Sounds about right. Also the number of people now planning to hunt it next year.
It's a stones throw room where I hunted several years ago.
