'Erased' the first two attempts...this is try number three.
It looks better than I thought it would but I still need lots of practice!

Still figuring things out as I go, but wow does adding some filler and shading make a big difference!

I am thinking about using a dark brown dye on the spout area and aqua fortis on the main body. At the rate I am going though, I have plenty of time to decide!

It's going to look cool no matter what you put on it. Is the aqua fortis is what is on your rifle?

I'm pretty sure one of my rifles has it on it, but can't say for certain.
I have a small bottle of it left over from a past project. Some of the other 'aged' horns I have seen have been done using it. Right now its a toss up between that and walnut dye. I have about a gallon of black walnut dye, and a ready supply of black walnuts since my parents have the largest black walnut tree I have ever seen in their back yard.
