Just compare tag prices to nonresident deer tag prices in many states. makes it look cheap. :hysterical:

Glad to hear that you still got enough ground to hunt there to find a few birds henry. The last jake I shot was in Nebraska. You too would be my guess. :D

The weather is not being kind to us again this year. Rain and cold moved in. Lots of wind. Hard to put birds to bed or hear them .

Figured I'd leave a few for the ole men and the children, plus it was hot and the white bass were running so there was no need to go chase the chickens, since they appeared to be done.

I'm tagged out. Got the third one at 6:45. The rain stopped at 5:30 while we were setting up. He gobbled good on the roost and came in gobbling. Fun hunt again. Every bird has come to the call so far.:

Good deal. I was beginning to get concerned about a fella your age making all of those long all day hunts.
I'm gonna bring my calls with me when we head to New Mexico and Arizona in 10 days. See if I can get a Merriams fired up.

Got a pleasant surprise when I dressed that bird. I knew he had two beards. Turns out he had four. He was a nice heavy sharp spurred three year old .

As often as he fixes them we will. That's a good thing though.

I have this coming long weekend trip to Minnesota to try and kill one more. Even if I'm successful I figure we will be out of turkey and eating chicken by mid june. :D

He has gotten real good at cooking them. The one crockpot thing he does with the banana peppers is tasty.
