I almost have another layout boat built for this up coming duck season. I'm wiring and licensing it so I can use it on Binder lake to take grandson fishing. Will be using a 55 lb thrust trolling motor on it. It has taking me about 3 weeks to get it finished. Getting early start on it this year.

Are you working off a plan or just building what you want? I've always wanted one but don't duck hunt enough to justify spending hundreds of $ on one.

I have a kara layout boat plan that I modify for my use. Usually have about $300-$400 in them when I get done.

You definitely have some wood working skills! That boat looks great.

I enjoy building them. Usually do 1 each year sometimes 2.

If anyone gets interested in one I could build one before season gets here. Can make it like the one in the pic or can make double ended for use with push poles. Might run about $450 - $500 or trades for pistols or other guns.
