Not youth v experience, rather a someone who could handle the situation betterthan the other guy!
I never liked Nolan Ryan because of all the bean balls. Would have liked to have seen him try that if he was an NL pitcher most of his career.
they said today, that was the only batter he hit that year
And that the opposing pitcher had hit one of his teammates the inning before.
You saying you could beat me down cause you're older than me?
"A pitcher who is known for a habit of purposely throwing at opposing batters' heads is called a headhunter. Pitchers popularly known as headhunters include Don Drysdale, Bob Gibson, Sal Maglie, Hugh Casey, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Pedro MartÃnez, Vicente Padilla, Josh Beckett, and Ian Kennedy."
Right, I remember the game. My point is that if you didn't have a DH the pitcher has to face the music himself when he comes up to bat if he beans someone; rather than beaning a random batter in the AL because the other team's pitcher beaned one of their guys.
Nope, because I'm tougher.
