Not sure if this has been talked about yet (did forum search and didn't find anything), but ran across this idea and checked out YouTube and found lots of videos. Could be an easy way to use those unused skis sitting around. Just thought I would pass it along.

    I've never thought of that.

If I only had an old set of ski's?

Why ruin a pair of skis?

I'm making some pvc bows. They are great for getting youth started with archery, accurate, and powerful.

For $7-$20 you can build bows that have a draw weight of 15-50 pounds.

Most of the ones I've seen have plenty of take down power.

Never shot one of those and more than likely never will.

For now I'll stick to making mine out of hickory and hedge.

Wonder how American Elm would work?

But think to how about Hackberry or Sycamore? Be easy to work with and not split.
